seit Tagen geht der Nebel um ein graues Tuch, der Turm steht stumm die Flamme blickt aufs Meer hinaus zur vollen Stund schlag ich die Glocke aus ich kann nicht fort von hier kommt doch zurück zu mir wieder und wieder streift das Licht die See nimmer kommt ihr wieder so sehr ich fleh nimmermehr nimmermehr Mantel, Laterne und Tau steig ich in den Regen ich lass das Seil herab die Hände nass und schwer ich lass vom Seile ab und falle ins Meer Wogen bäumen sich auf und werfen sich gegen das Land ein Donnern in der Tiefe die Fluten in welchen so mancher verschwand eine Frau und zwei Söhne hast du genommen so nimm auch mich so viele Seelen hast du bekommen so nimm auch mich in der Kluft unserer Wasser vereint seh ich nicht wie viele Tränen ihr weint die Gespenster geben euch nicht mehr her ihr fehlt mir so sehr von hier gehen wir nimmermehr nimmermehr Mantel, Laterne und Tau steig ich in den Tod nimmer

Blackbraid quickly followed up their 2022 debut in 2023 with more native folk infused furious black metal. This is by no means a sophomore slump as it is equally excellent, methodical, melodical, and approachable as the first record. 9/10

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity. Favorite Track(s): Die Feuertaufe, Grabenlieder

On ne frappe pas un homme à terre : c'est ce que dit la règle mais NONE a déjà prouvé qu'il ne les suivait pas et si son album éponyme retirait toute perspective de béatitude spirituelle, Life has gone on long enough, son deuxième opus, nous interdit l'accès au bonheur terrestre. La vie n'a aucune substance et la production plus distante le confirme. Le DSBM s'empare de textures sonores blues, mettant en relief une dépression urbaine. Les cris partent en fumées : ne restent que les pleurs...
