Metallurgical Fire When people talk influences, it’s always interesting what they do and don’t hear. I hear a hefty helping of my favorite Icelandic black metal band’s second record. I love that album so I don’t mind it. No one below is wrong; Andracca mixes the influences from various scenes very effectively. Nicely done! Favorite track: Oceans of Fire.

mourner The guitars dragged me in immediately and simply didn't let go of me. Emotional, intense and with enough aggression and songwriting skill to keep things interesting. Favorite track: Antithesis of Hope.

Fantastic music including that rare thing in BM - solos - which I would like to hear a lot more of! Plus I just realised that these guys are practically down the road from me so I am *really* hoping to see them live at some point... :) Highly recommended!!! Favorite track: Oceans of Fire.

sachavonkarl74 A fantastic new album from this U.K. BM outfit, playing trad - Norwegian style though. It's bleak, stings like Winter's frost, aggressive with passion, emotions, and a bit of that melancholic style reminiscent of German melodic BM bands, with a great atmosphere, outstanding guitar solos (e.g. Antithesis of hope), with alternating blasting drums and also slower, ritualistic passages. A masterpiece from Vendetta Records !! Favorite track: Oceans of Fire.

Ippocalyptica Black metal from the UK that sounds nothing like black metal from the UK, Andracca is another winner on the Vendetta roster that sounds, in the least-derivative and most interesting way possible, like the love child of Poland’s best BM band and one of Sweden’s most legendary (even if no longer any good) BM bands. There is a fusion reactor-level of energy here balanced by a noble sense of melancholy, with the bobbing and weaving songcraft bolstered by phenomenal musicianship. Pure fire! Favorite track: Oceans of Fire.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
