Beautiful, heavy, haunting and intricately crafted. One of the most emotionally diverse metal albums I've ever heard. Looking forward to hearing more from these guys.
Favorite track: svartideyði III:dayðin nærkast.
" Svartmálm's self-titled album is not just the best Black Metal Album of 2018 so far, but will likely become one of my all-time favorites. Its atmosphere is... beyond anything I've heard before. Until now, I felt that " Earth 2" was the soundtrack of the end, but this... this is what the apocalypse sounds like folks... "
This world is built upon lies. Who we are, who we could be--predetermined, predestined, set in stone before we are even born. But it doesn't have to be that way. Lies can be exposed, foundations leveled, new structures built of blood and bone--living, screaming, free. Dave Aftandilian
Why do people like this music? Because they hate how it carries them away? How it transfers sound into inner peace? How it is right on, as a combination of all right sounds and tempo; like a violent peace that it is?
I just don’t know. FakeFur777
