Death is not so much about the beginning of it, but the state of being after, the return of mortal coil to soil. The earth is my lover, and it is in her arms where I will last lay
Favorite track: LOTH "warndt".
This excellent atmospheric black metal split feels like autumn: the chill graying and slow fading inevitable in all life, which makes it all the more precious. The pain and rage at the end of everything, and the tiny green shoots of hope to come after we are gone.
When it comes to life on Earth, it seems we are taking things for granted. But it's ok. Nature will take care of us her own way.
And there's nothing to be afraid of, for death is just another part of the cycle. And we are not here to stay.
This record deals with the lyrical concept of an environment recovering from humanity's absence and the inevitable demise of our species as a part of the cycle of life. We are dependend on nature, but nature is not dependend on us. The artwork was done by Chris Kiesling from Misanthropic Art and is directly intertwined with the lyrical concept of both songs. The lyrics to Kien Kummweer are written in low-german, the lyrics to Warndt are written in french. Both bands showcase an effort of exploring with their sound with Loth taking a route that utilizes influences from progressive music and Friisk delving into doomier and melodious territories.
your music give me a rest in the storm of life. the beauty of blackness take so many shapes. and yours is brilliant.
I am so happy to have discovered you.
We can find a lot work, a lot of meticulous work in your music and specially in your sound. continu to follow the passion. asmuir
This band is incredibly refreshing, and innovative in a genre that has become rather stale. Grima transports you to the snow covered wilderness of Russia, and leaves you to fend for yourself. It's not your everyday, run-of-the-mill atmospheric black metal. It's truly something more. Their use of various instruments you seldom hear applied to black metal speaks to their level of creativity. 10/10 album! aliciakay47
