I walk alone in the shadow of the sun
Deaths cold embrace is creeping up my spine
Life's blood draining from my soul
Thereís no hope in sight
Light is fading, fighting to keep sane, will is giving out
Emptiness ahead; why should i go on?
Distant memories of my former life
How did this happen? Am I doomed to die?

Digesting pain, I choke the blackness back
Swallowing terror I fight to save myself
I call upon my ancestors feeding off their life force
I feel death's grip loosening
Skin is tearing right from my bones
I scream out; but death holds strong
With a final surge of desperation I take a step and I break free
I want to live
Laying in the middle of the road I realize I cannot give up
If I waste this chance that Iíve been given at life it wont be long
Before death comes to claim what I have stolen, Iíve got to start moving
Dragging myself up off the ground I won't ever stop
I look at death in the face and laugh.Is that all that youíve got?
You laugh, your nothing, death will have its day
Time passes, life slips back into my hand
Your essence will fade, but death will remain

like a gigantic vulture
